Don't Miss This! Upcoming Collaboration- MC Stona,Laila and Underground Beats

Part 2- Making It

Until now Mc Stona has never really had an audience, except maybe his neighbours who can probably hear him through the walls, but I think it's extremely unlikely he's going to spend much longer in his living room having a 'chat on the mic' now that I've agreed to do whatever I can to help him start recording stuff to help promote him and finally get people listening to him, therefore getting him to the start of achieving his dream.
He's always had people telling him his voice belongs in the clubs, that he sounds like, if not BETTER, than some of the greatest MCs on the scene at the moment, and he truly believes it himself which makes him more desperate to prove to those people that he really can do it, although all these years he's failed to do anything to start achieving his dream or even to take him a single step closer than he is while standing in the middle of his living room, but I'm putting that down him not having a clue what steps need to be taken to have any chance of achieving his dream. So I'm going to be helping him learn how to record himself and get it online in the right places and get people to notice it,...well I'll probably end up just doing it for him but I'll try to teach him some of my needed know how when it comes to the internet, Youtube, music promotion sites, selling music online, making videos, making and recording  songs etc, and before long you'll be seeing him all over the internet.
Check back soon for part 3 which will give you a full update on his progress and include info on the upcoming collaboration- Mc Stona, Laila and Underground Beats!

Don't Miss This! Upcoming Collaboration- Mc Stona, Laila and Underground Beats

Part 1-Introducing Mc Stona

Mc Stona is a 28 year old up and coming star who has been told on many occasions that his voice belongs in the clubs where in can be heard, not wasted MCing in his living room without an audience.
He lives for the mic and is determined to be a success,, which will be well worth the practice he's been putting in for the past 14 years,at times practising for several hours every day,  having a 'chat on the mic' using a karaoke set up in his living room hooked up to an impressive number of speakers around the room, or even without the mic, if he's just listening to music he'll use it as an opportunity to practice.
By now it should be obvious that this is his one true passion in life, the reason he gets up in the morning and what he dreams of at night, but it's even more than that in his mind.Anyone can have a passion for something and think it's the most important thing in their life and always will be but then one day they start to lose interest and let it slowly drift from their mind. But that's not something Mc Stona has to worry about, despite confirming it's his one passion he also considers it to be so much more than that. 'Basically' he says 'it's my religion. It's not just something I'll do for a while until I find something else, something better or simply get tired of it, it's pretty much on the same level as eating breathing and sleeping so not really any chance I'll ever give it up, except when I die'.
When asked if he wants to achieve anything else apart from finally getting heard and living his dream of being a successful Mc and making people happy through his music +just doing what he loves, he saidno, but then added if he fails to make it he'd probably go back to roofing or something, but will be completely devastated and feel like his world is falling apart since he lives for MCing.

Underground Beats Promotions Part 2

Now that the Underground Beats website is up and running I've had more time to work on www.disposabletoothfairy.co.uk which is a completely different kind of website, kind of an all round site with a bit of everything for everyone. You can send texts, write reviews and/or read reviews by other people, you can learn how to make money and find out about cool websites and stuff you'll wish you found sooner. The one thing that does make this blog post relevant is that by reading through the website you will not only realize how great it is and how much it has to offer, it also has a hidden promo code for use on the Underground Beats website to get 20% off your first order. (Not properly hidden, but no obvious link or anything to help you find it. Dont forget to also sign up to the Underground Beats mailing list for a free beat! Back to Underground Beats...the website is going to start selling lyrics (lyrics for one song = one set of lyrics, but we will also sell lyrics for just a chorus etc but anything like that will be described in the heading, ie 'chorus lyrics' so you know its not a full set of lyrics).

Prices-

*Full song lyrics will be priced at £10 for THREE sets of lyrics or £5 each.

*Chorus lyrics - £2 for one chorus £5 for 3 different choruses

*Verse lyrics- 50p per verse

*Song title suggestions- £3 for 10 suggestions

***SPECIAL OFFER***

Underground Beats Website

The Underground Beats website is still in progress as it's been held up by orders placed in the last few weeks, but it can now be seen by everyone at www.undergroundbeats.co.uk and is open to new orders, however some parts of the site may be changed and some features aren't available yet but will soon be added to the site.

The best part is that there will be freebies and special offers available while the site is starting out, potentially giving you a number of free beats and free loop packs, plus 25%off your first order. but details of how to get it will be given one step at a time so you have to check back regularly to find each step, which will be starting in the next blog update.

Don't forget to leave feedback and check out the Readers Request blog and the Soundclick page for Underground Beats (under the name 'Laila Hepburn beats')

I'm currently working on a new website to sell beats which will be called Underground Beats and will be up and running very soon. I will post a link on her as soon as its done and there's a free beat for anyone who signs up to the mailing list, as well as obviously being kept updated on the latest beats that are uploaded and beat contests coming up.
Anyone who purchases a beat is free to use it in any way they like, whether its to make their own songs or background music for a video or whatever, but credit must be given to Laila Hepburn for the music and include a link to Underground Beats website.

If anyone has any suggestions for the website please send them to lailadunbar@musician.org

Coming up in next few blog posts-

* Update on Underground Beats website including a link to the site
* Best software for making your own music

My Music

I make mainly instrumentals and although i do write full songs as well i dont upload them online since my singing is awful but maybe when i find people to sing them properly for me i'll be able to put them online. i bravely entered one into the uk songwriting contest since it said they didnt care about vocal ability (thankfully) and got a judges score of 5 which is the second highest for a non-finalist position.

Most of my songs get uploaded to Soundclick, listen and let me know what you think =)
